daed is archived. Do not use it.

Install daed from the Dae Universe repository on Debian, Ubuntu and other APT-based distributions.

Use the sudo tab if sudo is configured for your account. Use the root tab when already in a root shell.

1. Install curl

sudo

sudo apt update
sudo apt install curl

root

apt update
apt install curl

2. Add the repository

Download the source file, a plain deb822 file that APT has read since version 1.1.

sudo curl -fsSL -o /etc/apt/sources.list.d/daeuniverse.sources https://daeuniverse.pages.dev/daeuniverse.sources

3. Import the GPG key

sudo

sudo curl -fsSL -o /usr/share/keyrings/daeuniverse-archive-goose.gpg https://daeuniverse.pages.dev/daeuniverse-archive-goose.gpg

root

curl -fsSL -o /usr/share/keyrings/daeuniverse-archive-goose.gpg https://daeuniverse.pages.dev/daeuniverse-archive-goose.gpg

4. Install daed

sudo

sudo apt update
sudo apt install daed

root

apt update
apt install daed

The package provides daed.service; its configuration directory is /etc/daed/.
